Theatre Charlotte, formerly known as The Little Theatre, is Charlotte’s community theatre and has been “creating drama since 1927.” Theatre Charlotte’s mission is to create outstanding theatre opportunities relevant to the people of the Charlotte region. To fulfill this goal, theatre Charlotte presents a Main Stage series and a “second stage” series known as Stage 501.
The productions in our Main Stage series are selected for their broad-based community appeal. These include a mix of musicals, comedies and dramas. Stage 501 is dedicated to presenting works by classic contemporary writers, such as Beckett, Pinter and Albee, and writers from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
