What's more Southern than BBQ? You'll look at that question differently when you travel Charlotte's new ethnic suburbs with Dr. Tom Hanchett!
BUS DEPARTS MUSEUM PROMPTLY AT 6PM
During the last two decades, the once-isolated South has become a magnet for newcomers, and all of them seem to bring their own wonderful ways of cooking the pig.
This is the fourth year for this popular event, and we'll visit old favorites and new discoveries. In a shopping center out Central Avenue you'll taste Vietnamese BBQ at Ben Thanh and Salvadoran pupusas at El Pulgarcito. Then meet the Trinidad family who just opened Taste of the Caribbean on Sharon Amity Road. On Albemarle Road, Momma Fausta at Cocina Latina will welcome us with some of her family's special Mexican barbacoa
Cost includes transportation, dinner and program.
